Buoyed on with the success of the Knitted Bible we decided to create our own Knitted Harvest in 2022. This would be easy we thought. Have you ever tried to knit a sweetcorn or a carrot? With less members to accomplish the task we reached out to the community to help us achieve our goal and were inundated with knitted fruit and vegetables to display at our harvest celebrations. (Usually the last Sunday in September).
Obviously the knitted harvest only appears at a special time of the year, and as mentioned St George’s always use the display on the final Sunday in September, but if a local church wishes to borrow the knitted harvest around this time, please get in touch. 01429 425847 Kathryn.
