Hobbies Group

The Hobbies Group started off about 5 years ago with about 6 of us bringing our hobbies with us.  Some folk paint, some do cross stitch, some knit or sew and while we do all that we have a good chat with lots of laughter.  Altogether we now have 14 members meeting on Thursday morning.

We meet from 10.00 – 12 noon on Thursday mornings.  The kettle goes on about 10.30.  Bickies are always available.

We were heavily involved in the Knitted Bible and we have knitted hats for the Mission to Seafarers, and hats for premature babies.

We each pay 50p and this has gone into our bank account and we have paid towards several items needed in the Church – the photocopier, crockery, decorating the Meeting Room are only a few of the things that we have contributed to.

Anyone who wants to join us, just turn up on Thursday mornings with their hobby and they will be warmly welcomed.
